The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Directly on the beach, the last hotel on the south part of Puerto Morelos and as we understand run and owned by Mexicans which is appreciated. Across the street you'll find the large supermarket. Breakfast not included, you can choose between eating at the outsourced restaurant with lovely view or as we did at some times, buy from supermarket and had picnic on the beach. We stayed in a room with balcony which was preferable instead of the terrace ones. The hotel and the rooms are a little bit dated and with a small maintenance the hotel could be perfect, like make sure doors are safe, furniture mended, some different pillows etc. Overall, the hotel is a little bit pricy, but if you'd like to stay beachfront this alternative is super. During our visit it was windy, seagrass coming in but they (Village of Puerto Morelos) kept the beach very clean and made the best effort. Puerto Morelos was our first visit during our 12 nights in Mexico at four different destinations and we always found it as the best destination overall (Tulum, Holbox, Cancun city ). Our impression of Puerto Morelos is that you are enjoying the soft village life together and not excluding locals as in many other large destinations as Cancun hotelarea etc.

The location is amazing & there isn’t another hotel I’d rather stay at in Puerto Morales. None is so situated in the very town centre & on the very non-busy, beautiful beach as this hotel. The beach access is wonderful with chairs and beds for free use as a guest right at water’s edge among palm trees. The color of water here is marvelous and all the moored boats bobbing adds to the total charm. puerto Morales itself is very yuppy and clearly has a lot of money put into the town - cobblestone streets, very extensive fancy town square, pier you can walk out on, vegan restaurants, bookstore with mostly English books, Starbucks, and a whole lot of what seemed to be semi-permanent or permanent white American population, both in their 30s/40s and retirees. That wasn‘t what I was expecting of Puerto Morales and not my favorite on a trip, but some people ill at ease with Mexico may really find comfort in this town. It is very cute and feels like a small retiree town in California or Florida. The hotel though, especially the lobby and restaurant feel they precede all of this and are traditional and old Mexico - very cool place.

We came back after staying here for 5 nights earlier in December. We loved the location, in a smaller town where we could walk everywhere. The view from our window cannot be beat, I watched the sunrise every morning and the sunset every evening. On this second stay, we had a larger balcony, 2nd floor, and enjoyed that quite a bit. This room had a fridge while our first stay's room did not. We enjoyed being able to have cold beverages in our room. Again the room was large, comfortable, we had the balcony sliding door open all the time for fresh air, the beds were very comfy, and the bathroom was excellent. The hotel has a pot of coffee every morning in the lobby, for guests, and we enjoyed having that coffee in our room as the sun rose! We twice used taxis for long trips, once to Leona V. (town) to catch a bus, and once to the Cancun airport. The local taxi drivers were so excellent, reliable and friendly.

We are scuba divers and their is an excellent dive ship attached to the hotel, "OM Delfin". The guest rooms are large, two double beds, and cleaned daily. There is was a safe. Air Conditioning worked well. Nice large shower. The pool and beach areas are great! There are lounge chairs available at both pool and beach areas. Beach towels are provided for the week (but must leave a deposit, the deposit is refunded when you return the towels). Staff superb! There is a restaurant beside the hotel, Muelle Once, Outstanding food! In short walking distance to a large grocery store, pharmacy, little souvenir shops, money exchange, the town square, many small restaurants in the area. Everything is here!

Ocean front, sleeping with the ocean breeze flowing thru the room. Awesome view. Comfortable bed, great location. Did not hear noise from the nearby 80s late night bar, but l was in the North building 2nd floor. Massage in the building was awesome, Soco was great.
